Before You Start
Choose a broken ceramic, porcelain, glass or stone object with a few clean pieces. Make sure you have enough time, a calm workspace and all materials ready before mixing the adhesive.
Kintsugi is not about rushing. It is about repairing with attention.

Step 1 — Sanding
Start by gently sanding the sharp edges of each broken piece. This helps create a better surface for the golden repair lines.
Step 2 — Cleaning
After sanding, clean every piece carefully. The surface should be dry and free from dust, grease or residue before you start repairing.
Step 3 — Mixing the Kintsugi Honey
Mix the two-component adhesive with a small amount of gold powder. This creates the golden mixture we like to call Kintsugi Honey.
Use only a small amount of powder and mix as described in the manual.
Step 4 — Applying the Kintsugi Honey
Apply a thin, even layer of the golden adhesive to one side of the crack. You do not need much — a delicate line often gives the most beautiful result.
Step 5 — Patience
Press the pieces together gently and hold them in place. Give the adhesive time to become firm enough before moving on.
This is where Kintsugi asks you to slow down.
Step 6 — A Golden Touch
While the repair line is still slightly sticky, add a little extra gold powder for a richer, shinier finish.
This small step makes a big difference in the final look.
Step 7 — Replacing Missing Pieces
If your object has a small missing piece, you can fill the gap with epoxy kneading paste. Shape it carefully and keep the surface as smooth as possible.
Step 8 — The Finishing Touch
Once the filled area has hardened, cover it with a thin golden layer so it blends beautifully with the rest of the repair.
Step 9 — Editing
After the object is fully repaired, you can gently remove unwanted residue or rough edges. The goal is not perfection, but a result that feels intentional and refined.
Step 10 — Cleaning
Once the repair has fully cured, clean the object carefully according to the instructions in your manual.
